Change it up Tuesday #30

Wow - number 30! I love doing the "Change it up Tuesday" post. I am always surprised to see what the cards look like in the different colors. For this weeks card I thought I would redo one of my Eastern Blooms stamp set cards. It so happens that my blog buddy Tegan - just got this set for her birthday! She had asked for some inspiration using the blooms set I shared with her a few of my cards. I was totally surprised how many cards I had made using this set! Anyway she CASEd this card and just for the record, I had made about a months worth of "Change it up Tuesday" cards and it just so happened that this was the next card in the line-up. Take a look at her take on this card over at her blog "Swiftly Created" or HERE for a direct link.

My old card - "Purse Challenge #10" details can be found on SCS HERE

My "Change it Up Tuesday" card - "Purse Challenge #10 - Take 2" details can be found on SCS HERE.

Leave her a comment to let her know what you think. Also be sure to leave a comment on this post or participate, for your chance to get this week card!  * *

How to play: Take a card you previously created and only change the colors used. The layout and the stamped images should remain the same. Then leave me a comment where your cards are located or if you upload to SCS use keyword CIUT30 (Gallery HERE). For fun, I will pick from those participating or commenting on Monday (4/13) and I will send you my "Change it up Tuesday" creation. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

All That Scraps Anniversary Challenge

My favorite online store All That Scraps is celebrating their 2nd Anniversary and they issued a challenge to use one of the CC Designs, AmyR Stamps or Cookie Crumbs images as the main focal point on your project to win a FREE stamp set. You all know that I am totally in LOVE with all the CC Designs stamps so this challenge was a no brainer for me. I would love to WIN one - that's for sure. If you are interested in participating you can find on the details HERE on the All That Scraps blog. Just a note - you can find all these stamps on sale right now. They are also releasing new ones on Monday night! I can hardly contain myself!

Here is the card I am submitting. A very simple Easter card to show off the extremely cute bunny in an egg from the CC Designs Hunny Bunny set. I wanted to make a frame to show off the bunny and I ended up alternating the scallop edged layers. I thought that they were a little plain so I added the piercing just to spruce it up a bit. Then I colored the little cute with my markers, added the ribbon and there you go! A very cute, in my opinion, Easter Card. I hope you enjoy it!

You can find my "Bunny Egg" card on SCS - HERE.

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #80

As I browse all my favorite blogs, I see that a bunch of the talented ladies do the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday Sketch Blog. I decided to give it a go this week.

This is the sketch for this week. It's a lot more detail than I normally do, I always keep my cards fairly simple, but I was up for the challenge. I got some samples of the adorable SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP from my wonderful and very generous Secret Sis - Jennifer - and I thought I would start with it. I just love that owls are so popular right now! I just cut and pasted everything together and I was a little bummed that the owl was a little small for the focal image. I think it turned out all right though. I typed and printed the sentiment from my computer, added the rhinestones and there you have it - my first Mojo Monday Sketch complete. Enjoy!

You can find my "Who's Birthday" card on SCS - HERE.

Thankful Thursday #27

Today was supposed to be rainy and yucky outside all day, but I was surprised when it was 5:00pm and it was still beautiful out. So today I am thankful for:

"the extended nice day"

Although as I am typing, it is pouring rain, I am so thankful that we were able to enjoy the nice weather even though it was predicted to be yucky. Will those weather people ever get it right? Here's to a great day - as tomorrow we are getting more rain!

Feel free to leave a comment on what you are thankful for - I would love to know! Until next time, take a moment to think of something you are thankful for, then smile!

And the winner is . . .

Thanks for those who commented on THIS post. As promised I had the kids draw a number and low and behold it was number:

Congratulations Olivia!

What did I win you ask? I said that you would be receiving something from one of my favorite places - well this is what you won a $10 gift certificate to use at one of my favorite online stamping stores, All That Scraps!  Did I hear a YIPPY!! They are having a sale on all of the very cute CC Design Stamps that I am so fascinated with right now, so that $10 gift will get you a little bit extra!

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #24

This week's "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" almost slipped by me. Becky found this lobster tote bag, which I think is so cute and I would carry it on the beach! They also carry a cute rooster one too! You can find all the details on eBags. com or HERE if you are in a hurry.

Color  to be used this week:
Real Red and Sahara Sand

You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.

As I was watching American Idol last night - my first time this season - I remembered that I hadn't made my card for today's challenge. So in between the singers - who I am not to impressed with this year - I made this card. I just received the stamps I ordered from All That Scraps and I wanted to use this little pig first. He is from the CC Designs Kisses and Hugs stamp set. It also includes a cute bunny and bear AND from now until April 6th you can get it and all the other CC Design stamps for 15% off! Check them all out at HERE

Ok - back to the card. I used my Cuttlebug with my Spots & Dots embossing folder for the card base and then layered up the Nestibilities Scallop Rectangles and my cute little pig that I colored with my NEW Copics. I dotted the edges of the whisper white scallop with my Basic Black marker and glittered up the wings in red. That's about all. Enjoy!!

You can find my "Valentine Hog" card on SCS - HERE.
