Becky's Cards
I am finally getting to posting all of Becky's Sister's Purse Color Challenge cards! They all are so cute. She did such a good job and I am glad that she finally found her creativeness. I am sorry that she now has a wrist issue and will not be able to make her cards for a while. I hope that it will heal soon so she will be able to join the crafting world again. Enjoy all her cards! You can get all the details on her card by clicking HERE and it will take you to her card gallery.

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #28 & KWCI #50
It is such a coincidence that my colors for my "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" #28 are exactly the same colors (plus and splash of brown) that Kristina Werner has for her 50th Color Inspiration. I so lucked out this week!! This week's purse is a reusable fold-up grocery bag - so not really a purse, but a bag. I know I am stretching it a bit. It really is quite large for a fold-up bag and can be yours for only $7.99. You can find this adorable bag on Modcloth.com or HERE for a direct link.

Colors for my challenge to be used this week:
Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Yo Yo Yellow and Whisper White
You can add a neutral if you like, but it's not necessary.
Like I said, I found it to be a huge coincidence that my colors and the ones Kristina Werner picked for her challenge were alike. She did have a brown listed so I went ahead and added a touch to my card, but it is mostly the colors for my challenge.
I used the cute little Finishing Touch stamp and my Stamp-a-ma-jig to make the "faux" designer paper as the main image. I really didn't have a plan for the pattern, it just kind of happened and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. Don't you just love when that happens. I added the ribbon and the scallop oval sentiment to finish it off. Enjoy!!
You can find my "Fancy Congrats" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: SU Congrats and Finishing Touch Stamp
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red and Tempting Turquoise
Inks: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Yo Yo Yellow
Accessories: Scallop Oval and Oval Punches, Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon, Red Snaps, Dimensionals and adhesive
* * Becky had sent me a stack of cards and I have yet to show them to you - I will soon, I promise. I think that she is up to date on all of the past challenges, but I just found out that she broke her wrist and may be delayed on the next few challenges. What a bummer - right when she found her mojo!?! * *

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #27's and ATSDTC44
This week's Sister's Purse Color Challenge - #27 - is similar to the one from a couple weeks ago I realize. After a while the purses start to look the same, so I may have to change the color challenge to the "Sister's SHOE color challenge" soon. The purse this week is this Zebra Striped Jaqueline Bag and can be found on Baghaus.com or HERE for a direct link. They have just a black and white one as well, but I like the splash of red on this one. It can be yours for $55.95.

Colors to be used this week:
Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White
You can add a neutral if you like, but it's not necessary.
I combined my color challenge with a challenge the Design Team over at All That Scraps had last week. They challenged us to use microbeads (#44) on a card and not being a fan of the messy stuff (aka glitter, embossing powders, flock etc) I tend to just let those go. But I was inspired to make the dress and hair bow on this Angel Anya look like sequins with the microbeads. In person this card is lovely - there has been a lack of sunshine here so all my photos look terrible. I will try to get a better one later on when the sun decides to show itself. Other than the microbeads, it's pretty simple. Enjoy!!
Stamps: The Greeting Farm Angel Anya and Print Pattern background
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White
Inks: Black StazOn, Real Red, Barely Banana and Blush Blossom and Copic C1
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Flower Ribbon Slide, Microbeads, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals and adhesive
* * Becky has sent me a stack of cards for the challenges. As soon a I get through them and figure out what is what I will upload them to share! I am so excited that she has decided to join the crafting world again! * *

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #26
The kids and I decided to have a fun day today and now that we are home I can finally get this posted. I picked this one for today's challenge just because the colors intrigued me. I hardly ever use the Bold Bright color family and this on made me use two of them. I like this Flower Child Purse and for $25 it's a steal. You can find it at ModCloth.com or a directly HERE.

Color to be used this week:
Chocolate Chip,
Pink Pirouette, Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore
You can add a neutral
if you like,
but it's not necessary.
For this weeks card I saw a tutorial - and wouldn't you know that I didn't bookmark it to share - that showed me how to emboss with my Nestabilities using the Cuttlebug. I had been wanting to do this for a long time, but every time I tried I couldn't get it to work. So thank you unknown lady who helped me out - I really appreciate it. Once I got that accomplished I set out and created this card. The ribbon came from the kids stuffed animals they got in their Easter baskets - I loved it and thought that it would work with this Color Challenge perfectly. Enjoy!
You can find my "Flower Lily" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio Dress Up Lily and Canvas background
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
Inks: Black StazOn, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise and Blush Blossom
Accessories: Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Corner Rounder,
Easter Ribbon and adhesive
* * Becky is still on hiatus. When she decides to join the crafting world again, I will post her card. * *

My MIL participated in last week's Purse Color Challenge. Her card is very pretty. I love the Resist Embossing Technique she did! Please leave her a comment on this post if you like it!

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #25
It's time for another "Sister's Purse Color Challenge". I usually am the one that has picked the purse on the odd number weeks, but I think Becky picked this bag out - if I did I don't remember doing it and I don't think it's my taste at all - so I am sticking with Becky picked it out. This Betseyville Polka Bow Betsey Heart Tote by Betsey Johnson will set you back about $85 and you can also get in a red or yellow. So if you you like it and want more information you can find the details on Zappos.com or HERE for a direct link. I don't think this is one I will be looking at getting, but I am sure that Becky loves it - it is totally her style!

Color to be used this week:
Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
I had a hard time with the card for this week. I think that the cold weather has frozen my creative mind and I just couldn't come up with anything spectacular. I tried to do a patriot theme, but that turned out to be awful and went straight to the recycle bin and there were a couple more, before I just gave up and went with this really simple "Kindness" card. Sorry for the lack of inspiration - it's just an off day I guess.
You can find my "Kindness" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Heard from the Heart
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Basic Black and Jackpot DSP
Inks: Brilliant Blue
Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Dew Drops, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #24
This week's "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" almost slipped by me. Becky found this lobster tote bag, which I think is so cute and I would carry it on the beach! They also carry a cute rooster one too! You can find all the details on eBags. com or HERE if you are in a hurry.

Color to be used this week:
Real Red and Sahara Sand
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
As I was watching American Idol last night - my first time this season - I remembered that I hadn't made my card for today's challenge. So in between the singers - who I am not to impressed with this year - I made this card. I just received the stamps I ordered from All That Scraps and I wanted to use this little pig first. He is from the CC Designs Kisses and Hugs stamp set. It also includes a cute bunny and bear AND from now until April 6th you can get it and all the other CC Design stamps for 15% off! Check them all out at HERE.
Ok - back to the card. I used my Cuttlebug with my Spots & Dots embossing folder for the card base and then layered up the Nestibilities Scallop Rectangles and my cute little pig that I colored with my NEW Copics. I dotted the edges of the whisper white scallop with my Basic Black marker and glittered up the wings in red. That's about all. Enjoy!!
You can find my "Valentine Hog" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: CC Designs Kisses and Hugs
Paper: Real Red, Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Basic Black
Inks: Basic Black, Copic Ciao E21 and C1
Accessories: Nestabilities Scallop Rectangle Dies, Real red Grosgrain Ribbon, Spots & Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Crystal Effects, Glitter, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #23
Today's "Sister's Purse Color Challenge #23" is brought to you by this adorable computer sleeve by Lucky Brand. If I had a laptop that I needed to carry with me I would definitely look into getting this one. I may have to do some sweet talking to my hubby, but I am sure he would agree that it is totally a must have to protect that very expensive piece of equipment. (I have to say it's a protector, I don't think he would go for "but it's so gosh darn cute and I really need something cute to carry my laptop in.", right?) You can find the details on Zappos.com or HERE if you are in a hurry.

Color to be used this week:
Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Real Red, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
This card is pretty simple. I used another cupid from the CC Designs Gingersnaps Hey Cupid stamp set. I finally broke down and ordered this set since I have been enjoying the images Rachel sent me so much! I was hopping they would appear in my mailbox today - but nope, maybe tomorrow! I added the glitter to the wings once again, just because I really liked how it made them "pop" on the way the last one I made. Enjoy!
You can find my "Cutie Cupid" card on SCS HERE.
Stamps: CC Designs Gingersnaps Hey Cupid
Paper: Real Red, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Real Red DSP
Inks: Basic Black, Real Red, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Blush Blossom
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Crystal Effects, Glitter, Dimensionals and adhesive
* * Becky has yet to find her creative mojo - if you see it please send it to her. I am not having fun playing all by myself. * *

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #22 & ATS Challenge #33
For this weeks "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" Becky picked this purse. I thought it was funny because I am adding to our list and she sent me some of her favorites and this one was one of them. Since we make the list so far in advance it is hard to remember what we've done andwhat we haven't - so it is kind of a surprise for us each week as well. So on the the purse information. You can find this cute spring bag on Baghaus.com, or HERE for a direst link. Right now they have a sale on the same style of purse only different color for $25 for a savings of $45 - WOWSERS!

Color to be used this week:
Only Orange, YoYo Yellow,
Pink Pirouette and
Whisper White
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
I once again dove into the stash of images that Rachel sent me. I am so in love with all the CC Designs Stamp Sets! It doesn't seem to matter what Christine and the other gals comes up with, I feel I have to have them all. I try hard to limit myself, oh but it is so difficult - hence why I asked Rachel to send me some of her images! Go check out all the cute things over at the All That Scraps online store!

For this week's card I used this cute little angel on a cloud from CC designs stamp set Gingersnaps Hey Cupid! The card is pretty simple - I just colored and highlighted the image, cut it out with my Coluzzle cutting system and put it all together. I paper pierced the YoYo Yellow oval and did the faux stitching technique - which was a challenge by the All That Scraps Design Team(#33) and used my corner rounder punch to give the Only Orange oval the scallops. For a finishing touch I put glitter on her wings, which you can see on the up-close picture. Alexa loves this card - she wants me to make another one just for her! Enjoy!
You can find my "Sweet Angel" card on SCS HERE.
Stamps: CC Designs Gingersnaps Hey Cupid
Paper: Only Orange, YoYo Yellow,
Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Inks: Basic Black, Only Orange, YoYo Yellow,

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #21
I have talked to Becky and she is having a lack of inspiration, that's why she has not had any cards to post. I wish her well and that the inspiration comes back quickly, because it's just not the "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" without her.
This weeks purse was one that I chose. I really like this Brighton Lily Tote bag. I wish I had an extra $155 laying around, because I think this is one bag I would use on a regular basis and not just leave it hanging in the closet. You can find the details on Zappos.com or HERE for a direct link.

Color to be used this week:
Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Garden Green
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
I did an image swap with my blogging buddy Rachel from "My Cardstock Creations" and she sent me some adorable images of little girls. They all remind me of Alexa, so you will see when I post the cards I made that each has blonde hair. Of course, I had to color the boots Garden Green as I love green. When Alexa saw the card she said that I need a pair of boots like that for my birthday and I totally agree. Let me know what you think! Don't mind the smudge mark - I made this card for Alexa and I told her she could see it before I took the picture and, well, you know kids.
You can find my "Purse Anya" card on SCS HERE.
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red,
Whisper White and Pretty in Pink DSP
Inks: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink,
Garden Green, Barely Banana and Blush Blossom
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Punch, Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #20
For this weeks "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" #20, Becky picked this bag, which I think has a kind of retro feel to it. It is so her style, not mine. I tend to stick with the brown and black colored bags, but these challenges has really opened my mind to other colors. There are a few that I wouldn't mind having, but I just can't imagine spending all that money on them just to use them once and have them sit in the closet. Anyway, when I checked the information for this particular bag it wasn't there. They do however have it available in black and red - so if that's your fancy you can find the info on eBags.com or HERE.

Color to be used this week:
Whisper White, Basic Black and Pink Passion
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.

I wanted to start with a white base since this bag is mostly white, but I had a hard time leaving all the Whisper White so I added the Basic Black and Pink Passion stripes at the end. I like how it turned out. You can find this "Lovely Stem" card on SCS HERE.
Stamps: Oh, So Lovely
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black and Pink Passion
Inks: Basic Black and Pink Passion
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Corner Rounder Punch,
Paper Piercer and adhesive
* * There has once again been a delay in Becky's card. I will have to find out what happened and I will post it when I receive it. * *

Purse Challenge Participant #2
A couple weeks ago my Mother-in-Law sent my challenge out to her wonderful group of stampers and she had one participant to join in, but asked me not to post until she gave her card to her mother. Well, that time has pasted and here is Karen's card.

Thanks Karen for participating. Your card is GORGEOUS! I am sure you mother loved it.

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #19
Last week I had a few participants, beside my sister and I, in the challenge. You can find my Mother-in-Laws HERE and I will post the second one later on. The lady who made it is sending to her mother and I don't want to ruin the surprise. It's very pretty too!

On to this weeks challenge. I picked this bright tote bag. I love tote bags like this. YOu can keep everything you would ever need in it and with 2 kiddies, I need the room. You can find this Rafe New York Adriana Large Shoulder bag on Zappos.com or HERE for a direct link.

Color to be used this week:
Tempting Turquoise, Certianly Celery and Very Vanilla
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
For my card this week I wanted to try to do a card with little layering. I thought that if I did simple flowers right on the Very Vanilla it would look really pretty. I am not too pleased with how it turned out, but I don't totally hate it either. You can find my "Turquoise Flowers" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Petal Pizzazz & Best Yet
Paper: Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery
Inks: Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery
Accessories: Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #18
This is a beauty! Becky picked out this weeks entry for our weekly "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" and I think that it is a cutie. This Offhand Designs Sabrina bag can be found in many different colors. I just happened to like this one. You can find all the details on eBags.com or HERE. Right now it's on sale for 20% off.

Color to be used this week:
Sahara Sand and Tempting Turquiose
You can add a neutral if you like,
but it's not necessary.
Becky made this cute little scallop birthday card for the challenge when she was visiting last week. I accused her of copying my design and she just laughed. She said that she stamped more on the background and used a different stamp for the focal point - so it wasn't copied, just inspired. I guess we all are guilty of using someone cards for inspiration. You can find it on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Paper: Tempting Turquoise
Inks: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Die, Corner Rounder Punch and Adhesive
So do you see what I was talking about with the "copying" that was done. I am glad that I can inspire her work. We have so much fun with this challenge and it was fun to actually do it together this time.
For my card, I went with a normal sized card and stamped the background with those cute little blowers from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. I stamped the ballon on Whisper White, cut it out, glued it to the Sahara Sand and then added Crystal Effects to give it the shine like balloons have. I LOVE the way it turned out. You can find my "Birthday Balloon" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
Inks: Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #17
How do you like the new look? I wanted a little change from the polka dots, I really like it, but I always am looking for feedback - so don't be afraid to let me know what you think.

Color to be used this week:

With that said, it's that time of week again for my "Sister's Purse Color Challenge". I have so much fun with these and I am so glad that my sister participates with me. I really like seeing what she comes up with and how much she has grown as a stamper. For challenge #17, I picked this cute wallet. I absolutely LOVE this and I want one for my birthday and for only $24.99, it would be perfect! You can find all the details on eBags.com - HERE is the direct link.

Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery and Basic Black
You can add a neutral if you like, but it's not
necessary.
Unlike the last few weeks, I really like how this card turned out. Something about how well the colors went together this week, which made me really enjoy making it. You can find my "Baja Flowers" card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Paper: Pacific Piont, Baja Breeze,

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #16
For this week's "Sister's Purse Color Challenge" Becky got to pick the purse to showcase. When I first saw it I didn't know what to think, but it has grown on me. You can add this to your purse collection for only $170. The details can be found on eBags.com, or specifically HERE.

Color to be used this week:
Tangerine
Tango, Creamy Caramel
and Very Vanilla
You can add a neutral if you like, but it's not
necessary.
I am totally in LOVE with Becky's card for this weeks challenge. She had wanted me to add something to the top, but I just couldn't do it because I thought it was so pretty just the way it was. You can find the beautiful card on SCS - HERE.
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Creamy Caramel and
Very Vanilla
Inks: Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Orange Ribbon, Dimensionals and adhesive
I had trouble, once again, with the color combo. I just could not get it to work out the way I had envisioned it in my head. It is definitely not one of my favorite cards. In fact, I think it may be my least favorite of all. I think I thought that if I kept adding to it, it would eventually turn out to be wonderful. If I get a chance I may work with this color combo again. What do you think?
You can find my "Tangerine Note" card on SCS HERE.
Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Creamy Caramel,
Very Vanilla and Hawaiian Papaya DSP
Inks: Tangerine Tango and Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Punches, Small Oval Punch,
Rhinestone Brad, Photo holder & Brad, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #15
So I have finally got things worked out and I can post my "Sister's Purse Color Challenge #15". I got to pick this one - I am not sure what I was thinking when I picked it. I think I liked the purse, but when it came to putting the colors together for the challenge - GEE WHIZ! It took me forever! The details were once on eBags.com, but I cannot seem to find this bag on that site. I did however find this bag in black on baghaus.com. You can check it out at THIS link.

Colors to be used this week:
Tangerine Tango, Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Sage Shadow and Summer Sun
You can add a neutral if you like, but it's not
necessary.
I went for a birthday themed card this time around. As I said, I had a hard time using all the colors, but when I decided to just use one stamp and all the colors it easily came together. You can find it on SCS HERE.
Stamps: Party Hearty
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Basic Black
Inks: Tangerine Tango, Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun, Sage Shadow and Basic Black
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals and adhesive
Becky, however did not have trouble with these colors. I struggled with the one and she made two - she's so ambitious! You can find her cards on SCS HERE and HERE.
Stamps: House Mouse
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Rose Red, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun and Sage Shadow
Inks: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Punch, Ribbon, Rub Ons and adhesive
