Change it up Tuesday #35

I am going to slowly work my way back into this blogging thing. It's been a long time and I am not guaranteeing anything, but I am hoping that I can post on at least a semi-regular basis now. Things have been extremely busy around here and although they have slowed a bit, I am still obligated to a few more weeks of extra work for my "paying" job. After that, I will have all my time back that I usually dedicate to stamping. Thanks to all of you who have stuck around during the craziness and I hope to catch up on everything I missed too! So be looking for tons of comments from me real soon!

So, I thought I would let my first post back be my weekly "Change it up Tuesday" post. This one is the final one from my "Change it up Tuesday" posts dedicated to the stamp set by Stampin' Up - Pocket Silhouettes. I am not saying that there won't be more - but this is the last one for now. I have gotten a little tired of the set and there are so many others that are calling for attention. I LOVE the original of this card and I am extremely surprised how much I actually like the "Change it up Tuesday" card. Which do you prefer?

I am still using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set for this weeks "Change it up Tuesday" - #34. I choose this card because I LOVE it and wanted to see it using a different color. I tend to gravitate to the green/orange color combo for a lot of my cards. I love the color GREEN and doing this challenge helps me to use those colors that aren't at the top of my "to use" pile.

Wow - number 30! I love doing the "Change it up Tuesday" post. I am always surprised to see what the cards look like in the different colors. For this weeks card I thought I would redo one of my Eastern Blooms stamp set cards. It so happens that my blog buddy Tegan - just got this set for her birthday! She had asked for some inspiration using the blooms set I shared with her a few of my cards. I was totally surprised how many cards I had made using this set! Anyway she CASEd this card and just for the record, I had made about a months worth of "Change it up Tuesday" cards and it just so happened that this was the next card in the line-up. For this week's "Change it Up Tuesday" I decided to try my hand at making this "cute" baby gift card holder again. I thought that since the first one was for a girl, I would make a gender neutral one this go around. I got the initail idea from this card from Robin over at "About a Girl". For this weeks "Change it Up Tuesday" post I went with one of the cards I sent to the Floodees in the Flood Swap I am in. I really liked this card, but I have to admit - I am totally in LOVE the new card! The DSP I picked this time is very bold and not as subtle as the first and all the colors just fell into place so easily. Which do you prefer?

Here it is, time for another Change it up Tuesday. I can't believe how many of these I have done. I really enjoy changing the colors of my older cards to see how they turn out. Nine times out of ten I like the older card better, but occasionally I surprise myself. This weeks card is one I did way back in July for one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspirations. I wanted to make it using Spring colors this time around. Enjoy!

This weeks "Change it up Tuesday" (#24) I wanted to try remake one of my older cards that had beads on it. I ordered more of the Bead Duos from Stampin' Up! just so I could do this card for my "Change it up Tuesday" post. I am hoping that I will find more reasons to use the beads besides on this card. Any ideas? I may have to challenge myself to use the beads on a few cards this week so I just don't let them sit in the drawer. I hate getting supplies and hardly using them! Anyway, I think I still like the first card better this time. What do you think?

I combined this weeks "Change it up Tuesday" with another challenge. I have told you that I have been trying to play catch up on all the past All That Scraps Design Team Challenges. Since I used their stamp set by CC Designs: It's My Birthday on my old card I decided that this would be the perfect time to incorporate their Challenge #31 - a color challenge - into a "Change it up Tuesday" card. I really like how the "Change it up Tuesday" card turned out, but I think I am a little partial to the first one I did - that's one of my favorite color combos!

For those of you who do not regularly visit my blog, this is a weekly post I do. I call it "Change it up Tuesday". I take an old card I made from my SCS gallery and recreate it - same stamps and layout - only different colors. It is so much fun and every once in a while I am surprised at the outcome. For this, the 22nd installment of "Change it up Tuesday" I went with a friendship card. The colors were so bright for the first one so I decided to tone down the colors for this one. "Change it up Tuesday" #21 is not another Valentine's day card, even though I wanted it to be. I decided that I needed a notecard, so I remade one that had no stamping on it - could it be I did NO STAMPING! Let me tell you that I felt so lazy after it was done. I really liked the simplicity of the first card and I thought the colors were alright. I really had no choice since it was for my "Sister's Purse Color Challenge #5", so this time I decided that since I could choose the colors I wanted, I just used one of my favorite - Kiwi Kiss. What do you think of the new one?

It's Tuesday and that means it is time for another "Change it up Tuesday".  With Valentine's Day coming up I decided that I would remake one of the previous Valentine's Day cards I had made. I really loved this one, but thought that the pink was too subtle, so it made it the perfect contender for "Change it up Tuesday".

On to this weeks "Change it up Tuesday" cards. I chose a card I make for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #26. I really liked the card, but I kept thinking that it would make an awesome Christmas card. So, I redid it in Christmas colors.

First let me apologize for the awful photo - it has been really gloomy today so there was no natural light. I am so asking Santa for a light box to take pictures of my cards. I will try to get a better picture when the weather clears up.

I thought that since it was to be a Christmas Card that it needed a little extra "wow", so I added the little rhinestones to each flower. I love how it turned out. I just may have to make more of these for our Christmas Cards - yes I am slow to get them done, at least I still have some time.
