More fun with Pocket Silhouettes

Sorry about the lack of post this weekend. We did a bunch of cleaning and clearing out so there was no time. I did however get a few minutes to stamp a few cards. I know again with the Pocket Silhouettes - I just can't quit using this set. I absolutely LOVE it! Here are a couple of the latest cards I made with it. The first is a standard size card and the second is a 4-1/4 inch square card. Which do you prefer?

Additional details for these "Silhouette Cards" can be found on SCS. HERE for #1 and HERE for #2. Check out my SCS gallery for more cards too.

Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #25

Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #25 this week bought to mind a fiesta - well a birthday fiesta for me. I wanted to challenge myself to stay away from using any straight lines for this card and I think it turned out really cute.

Inspiration Colors:
Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery,
So Saffron and Ruby Red

I used my Sizzix Scallop Circle once again and my coluzzle to create all the circles on the card and then added a present sticker I had left over from Ben's first birthday cards. I spruced it up a bit by adding some glitter to the spots and a real ribbon. Finally just added the sentiment "wish big" since I thought that the present looked so big. Enjoy!!

Additional details for my "Festive Birthday" card can be
found HERE on SCS.

Stamps: Short & Sweet
Paper: Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron,
Ruby Red and Whisper White
Inks: Ruby Red
Accessories: Sizzix Scallop Circle Die, Coluzzle, Crystal Effects,
Glitter, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals and adhesive

Sister's Purse Color Challenge #8

For this weeks Sister's Purse Color Challenge #8, Becky picked out this adorable Claire Sanchez Studio Handbag. I love any bag that has green on it - even if it is bright green. You can purchase this for only $47.99 (it's on sale right now). If you want more information you can find it HERE

Colors to be used this week:
Green Galore and Whisper White

You can add a neutral if you like, but its not necessary.

Here's my card for this time. I thought that I was going to have a really tough time with these colors, but I was surprised how quickly this card came about. It's pretty simple and true to Mandy style - ribbons and rhinestones! I like how it came out. Check it on on SCS HERE.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms and Best Yet
Paper: Green Galore, Whisper White and Basic Gray
Inks: Green Galore
Accessories: White Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals and adhesive

Becky must of been out of Green Galore, but I think that it is still a very lovely card. I love the eyelet accents - by the way, it was her first time using a Crop-A-Dile. Way to go Becky!! Find her card on SCS HERE.

Stamps: For A Friend
Paper: Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White
Inks: Basic Black
Accessories: Crop-A-Dile, Eyelets, Love & Happiness RubOns, Dimensionals and adhesive

Change it up Tuesday #12

I am in a fall mood lately. Every card I make is with just about the same color scheme and I just can't seem to get away from using greens, browns, and oranges. Rather than fight it I chose this fall card I made for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #15 to recreate.

My old card - "Fall Pumpkin" details can be found HERE on SCS.

My "Change it up Tuesday" card - "Fall Pumpkin - Take 2" details are HERE on SCS

How to play: Take a card you previously created and only change the colors used. The layout and the stamped images should remain the same. Then leave me a comment where your cards are located or if you upload to SCS use keyword CIUT12. For fun, I will pick from those commenting (with or without a card) on Monday (10/13) and I will send you my "Change it up Tuesday" creation. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Check this out!

Click on over to Kristina Werner's Design Blog and click on #8. Boy was I so surprised and, of course, a little proud! I will be back later today to post my "Change It Up Tuesday" cards.

Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #24

I got a chance to stamp a quick card using the colors from Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #24. I wanted to try a stab at making another scallop circle card and I think it turned out really cute.

Inspiration Colors: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie,
Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla

I used the Sizzix Scallop Circle Die with my cuttlebug to make the base and then I got out my coluzzle for the circles. I really like how the DSP is over center on the Kiwi Kiss! Then I added the ribbon and the sentiment and I was all done. Enjoy!

Additional details for my "Because I Care" card can be found HERE on SCS.

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss,
Very Vanilla and Hawaii Papaya DSP

Thankful Thursday - #12

Today's "Thankful Thursday" is bought to us by the candy that I am most thankful for this time of year:

"Candy Corn"

I love these little yellow, orange and white sugary treats and yes it has to be the ones with that are this color those with the chocolate ends are not the same! I know you can find them in the stores year round, but it just seems that they are so much fresher at this time of year - they kind of just melt in your mouth (OH - I am drooling again!) - and they bring back so many memories of Trick or Treating as a kid. I am thankful for the Candy Corn - as is Alexa and Ben! What's your favorite Halloween candy?

Feel free to leave a comment on what you are thankful for - I would love to know! Until next time, take a moment to think of something you are thankful for, then smile!
